Privacy Policy

In short: Hopchain has no accounts, sets no cookies and does not ask you to connect a wallet. To show a wallet's activity it sends the address you look up to third-party data providers, and it briefly stores your IP address to limit abuse.

Hosting

This website runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers and static asset hosting). Cloudflare processes technically necessary server log data (for example IP address, timestamp and requested address) to deliver and secure the site.

Looking up a wallet

When you enter a wallet address (or open a wallet page), our server processes that address to build the result. The address is a public blockchain identifier; we do not link it to your identity and do not ask for your name, email or any account.

To retrieve the blockchain data, our server sends the address to the following third-party providers. These requests are made by our server, so your IP address and browser details are not passed on to them:

  • Alchemy (alchemy.com): transactions, token transfers and balances of the address on the supported EVM chains.
  • TronGrid (api.trongrid.io): the same, for addresses on Tron.
  • Helius (mainnet.helius-rpc.com): the same, for addresses on Solana.
  • ensdata.net (api.ensdata.net): turning an ENS name you type (such as name.eth) into its address, and looking up readable ENS names for some of the public addresses shown as connections.
  • GoPlus Security (api.gopluslabs.io): checking whether the address you looked up is listed in GoPlus's public malicious-address data (phishing, scams, sanctioned addresses and similar). Only the address you looked up is sent, never your IP address or browser details.

Caching

To keep the site fast and stay within provider limits, results for a looked-up address are cached for a short time (about 10 minutes) on Cloudflare's key-value storage. The cache is keyed by the public address only and contains public blockchain data, not information about you.

If GoPlus's check finds that an address is flagged, we keep that specific result (the address and why it was flagged) permanently in the same key-value storage, so we don't have to ask GoPlus again for an address already known to be flagged. This is public blockchain-address label data, not personal data.

IP address and abuse protection

To limit automated abuse, your IP address is stored together with a request counter in Cloudflare's key-value storage for 60 seconds and then deleted automatically. We do this to keep the service available for everyone.

Saved wallets

The "Saved" list is stored only in your own browser (local storage) and is never sent to our servers. You can remove entries at any time or clear your browser data.

Cookies and Do Not Track

This website sets no cookies, so there is no cookie banner. We do not track you across websites or over time, so "Do Not Track" signals have no effect.

Traffic measurement with Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymized measurement of page views. For this, your browser loads a small script from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com) and sends measurement data to Cloudflare, so your IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare with that request. The service sets no cookies and stores no information on your device. Only aggregated, non-personal data is collected (for example page views, load times and country-level origin). The IP address itself is not stored.

Traffic measurement with Umami

We also use Umami (cloud.umami.is), a privacy-focused analytics service, for anonymized measurement of page views. Your browser loads a small script from Umami's servers and sends measurement data there, so your IP address is transmitted to Umami with that request. Umami sets no cookies and does not track you across websites or visits - instead of a persistent identifier, it derives a non-identifying, one-way-hashed value from your IP address, user agent and the website ID, which rotates daily and cannot be reversed back into your IP address. Only aggregated data is collected (for example page views, referrers, browser/device type and country-level origin, the latter derived from the IP address without storing the IP address itself).

Fonts and scripts

Fonts and scripts used to display the pages are served from our own domain. The only exceptions are the measurement scripts of Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami described above, which your browser loads from Cloudflare and Umami respectively. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts or other third-party content delivery networks.

External links

Wallet pages link to third-party block explorers. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that site applies.

International data transfers

Hopchain is operated by a company based in the United States. Your requests are processed by Cloudflare and by the providers named above, which may process data in the United States and in other countries. We do not control where those providers process data; please see their own privacy policies.

Contact

This website has no contact form. Contact happens by email to info@hopchain.io; any data you send that way is used solely to handle your inquiry.

Your privacy rights

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising. The only personal data we handle is the short-lived IP address described above and the analytics data described by Cloudflare and Umami. Depending on where you live, for example in California, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. To make a request, email us at the address above.

For visitors in the EU and UK

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR or UK GDPR may apply. Our legal basis for hosting and securing the site, serving the lookups you request, abuse protection (the 60-second IP address) and privacy-friendly traffic measurement is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating the service.

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Contact us at the email above to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

Hopchain is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy will be updated when the site's functionality changes, for example if accounts, a contact form or additional analytics tools are introduced. Last updated: October 2026.
