Real crypto scams, read from the chain

Short write-ups of real cases where the blockchain itself shows what happened. Each page lists what we verified, what we could not see, and what you can do. We describe wallets and transactions, never people.

Ethereum · October 2026
The Binance hack of 29 October 2026
About $6.3 billion left Binance's hot wallets. What the chain shows on Ethereum: one transaction with 50 EIP-7702 authorizations, then a 1.6 billion USDT sweep.
Tron, Bitcoin, Ethereum · October 2026
The Ledger wallet drains of 9 October 2026
Four Tron addresses took about 65 million USDT within hours and two Bitcoin addresses moved 203.8 BTC between 20 and 30 October. What the chain shows, read from ten published addresses.
Tron · March 2026
The fake FBI token on Tron
Hundreds of wallets received a token named after the FBI. What the wallet behind it did, step by step, and where its funds went.
Robinhood Chain · October 2026
The fake ETH on Robinhood Chain
A wallet app showed 1.44 ETH that was never there: a token named Ethereum, sent to 300 wallets in a single transaction.
BNB Chain · October 2026
After a search ad: how an old approval emptied a wallet
No new signature was needed: a contract used an unlimited approval granted earlier to move BTCB out of a wallet.

How we write these

  • We only use cases where a report names an address, a token or a transaction on a chain we can read.
  • Every number and time on a page is read from the chain and checked again before it is published.
  • Each page says what we could not see. The chain shows addresses, not who controls them.
  • We do not accuse people, and we leave victims' wallets out.

Spotted a mistake, or have a case?

Write to info@hopchain.io. For a case, an address or a transaction hash is all we need, since everything else is public. Never send a seed phrase or a private key.

This is general information, not financial, legal or security advice. To look up an address yourself, paste it on the home page, or read how to check if a crypto address is a scam.
